Alan's Birthday and More!

June 9 - 10, 2006

Sunday we had Griffin, Andrew and Margaret Ganis over for dinner. The boys stayed on the Gator as long as they could and Griffin had his first car accident! Margaret is from a family with 5 girls too - I love that - and no surprise we are both the favorites!! Hahahaha j/k Meg, Linds, Kate and Mandie!!...unless you agree!! NO sleeping in - AJ is my enforcer of this old rule!! Even on Alan's birthday. I love it - we wake up to the pitpat of his feet across the wood floor coming into our bedroom! We opened presents in bed (Alan was still not all the way awake!) and were down to breakfast by 7:00a!Alan's mom and stepdad came over for lunch ...
with Jim and Pat! Then Molly came over to babysit and Alan and I had a perfect date night - we went to MoMo's for dinner and had what I still think is the best food in Columbia and service and Spanish sparkling wine! We went to our old neighborhood and dropped in on a backyard bash at Perry and Stacy's Oasis....Then it was off to Red Hot Tomatoes to meet up with some friends. Thank goodness for cabs - we were exhausted and neither of us wanted to drive home!Notice the table cloth...AJ was totally in to helping decorate for his Daddy's bday - we made a table cloth with his hand prints and then spray painted sticks and cut paper to make the sparkler/flowers.
Jack got into the spirit of the day!

AJ was all tied up in the balloon strings -- BTW Alan is all of 26 - the 60 year old is Mike Pace .. whose birthday was the night before!

Look at that!! AJ can write his name! We have about half the letters down (by we I mean he...I can write the whole alphabet!) Any way he is partial to the "A" and the "J"....and I would say pretty lucky to have that name!

Our first trip to the Funzone was ... fun - Alan and I tag teamed ... FYI this place is great to get some energy out !! There were no arguments about going to bed this night!

Congratulations Corner!!

I always have so many of my girls with so much going on - so enough babbling on about myself - here's to my girls!!

Lisa, Adam and Sam Nolan welcomed baby Tyler!!

Stacey and Brendan Carney are almost there!!
Also - Graham and David Segars had their baby boy! April and Brad Jones had a baby girl, Abbey Mercy. Ashley Gwin's due date is fast approching! Mason and Jimmy Harrington are having another boy! My sister Kate is due in November! I know I am missing some - so love love love to you all - and as soon as I see you and take some pics I will share them with everyone!

Memorial Day

It was back to the zoo for Memorial Day!

Then to the Ganis' annual party. It was our first time and we loved it! Griffin is in AJ's class - Blake and DJ and Logan were there too. This is the only picture I took - I put down my camera and picked up a Margarita!!

Hilton Head

Our annual vacation with the Howard/O'Melia clan was wonderful!! We all had a great time in Hilton Head - it was so relaxing and lots of laughs were had! We had a wonderful Mother's Day and apparently what happened in that condo stayed in that condo! I have no pictures (there is one out there somewhere!) but I will tell you.. after a couple bottles of wine at least 5 of us girls can fit in the bath tub at the same time. Unfortunately I think this is one of the only pictures I have of Sharon (she was sick for the second half of the trip but Oprah seemed to help a little - I think it is probablly the first time in years she has been able to actaully watch daytime TV - she is such a hardworker! )

One of my favorite pictures of AJ - Alan and I still think that the pool counts as a shower (not sure if I should share that with everyone!) so AJ's hair was full of sunscreen/sand/sweat - I love it! And those are his first pair of underroos!

Our dancing man - he picked up a little blondie on the dance floor! Apparently the guy singing was not too excited that his biggest fans were up to his knees - and said (not so under his breath), "I didn't know we were at Chuck E. Cheese's." Well, before I could get retaliate with a snide remark and have AJ get the tips back out of his jar (yes I totally overreact !!) AJ and the little blondie started yelling, "Chuck E Cheese! Chuck E Cheese!! Chuck E Cheese!!!" It was great - better than anything I could come up with!

After half a day of rest we were at it again and AJ haaaaad to go to the zoo - afterall we hadn't been in a week and the bears missed us! Pat came along - she is always ready for a last minute excursion with us!

Jack is smiling!! AJ is smiling!!! And mom cut their heads off! (Funny as I read that I thought, "Wait my mom wasn't here." I am still not always used to referring to myself in the 3rd as "mom"!)
Seriously these are the two most amazing boys - I have never been so uplifted and blessed!
